Bob Mitchell is a job creator and proven conservative who has spent more than two decades helping the Houston region thrive.

As former president of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, he built and executed strategic plans that attracted high-tech manufacturers, strengthened the aerospace sector, and expanded paychecks for working Texans. Before leading BAHEP, Mitchell oversaw the statewide rollout of the Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program, turning cutting-edge NASA expertise into real-world commerce. His record of stewarding private sector growth while demanding accountability and efficiency sets him apart as the business-minded conservative ready to fight for House District 129.

From being out on his own at the age of 15 to being appointed Vice President of the Gulf Coast Protection District by Governor Greg Abbott, Bob Mitchell is living proof of the American Dream. Today, that same passion that fueled his success drives him to help others achieve their dreams - through outreach programs for struggling entrepreneurs, support for small business owners, and scholarships for students pursuing careers in the aerospace industry.

Mitchell is more than a business leader - he’s a family man, deeply rooted in his faith and lifelong advocacy for conservative values. He is a lifelong resident of the region who knows what makes it special - from the power of our ports and energy industry to the integrity of our churches, families, and schools. Mitchell lives in Pearland with his wife, Joan. The Mitchells are proud parents and grandparents and active members of their community.

Service and stewardship have always guided Mitchell’s leadership. Appointed by Governor Abbott to the state’s Aerospace and Aviation Advisory Committee, he has been a trusted voice for pro-growth policies in Austin. Locally, he has rolled up his sleeves on the boards of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, UTMB Health System, the Manned Spaceflight Education Foundation, and Communities in Schools, among others. That same commitment to community, fiscal discipline, and a government for the people will drive his work in the Texas House as the strongest conservative in this race.
